Stop Heathrow Expansion

The huge increase in aircraft noise resulting from the recent experiment with take-offs to the East has been extremely disruptive. We have just moved to Hampton and studied the aircraft noise patterns before committing to the purchase earlier this year so having now moved here we are extremely worried that about the proposed change in flight path as aircraft are now very frequently taking off over our house.

The increase in noise has been enormous, both day and night. It has become unpleasant to be outside and sleep is interrupted during the night. The air is polluted enough because of the high density of vehicle travel this is set to become much worse over the next few years due to the massive increase of housing which has been forced on us. It is utter madness to add further to the air and noise pollution.

The aircraft trials at Ascot have given a taste of the terrible noise pollution that Heathrow expansion would cause. Even 20 miles away from Heathrow the noise is dreadful and relentless and it is very stressful being under the flight path. We have not experienced this before. I hope Boris's proposal will be resurrected . Aircraft could take off over the sea with much less noise disruption to everyone's lives.

The noise to once quiet towns and villages is insane.

The noise is already dreadful, destroys the peace during the day and disturbs sleep at night. Even if new aircraft only generated a fraction of the noise it would still be disruptive.

Air and noise pollution is already unbearable.

Excessive traffic and no consultation. Would not have purchased home directly under flight path.

Having lived for 4 years in Windsor I moved to Ascot to get away from the planes. The noise is infuriating and a constant annoyance. Leave this area alone.

Life in Kew is unbearable as it is. We cannot sleep during the summer for the night flights. The noise pollution is getting worse every year. Another runway would unimaginable. The pollution would be awful.

The present infrastructure is not sufficient therefore as well as an expanding airport we would also have massive building on green spaces for yet more roads and airport links. Enough is enough

The third runway plans prioritise money-making over people. There are better alternatives elsewhere (like Gatwick). Stop this bullying hubris, please.

Enough is enough. Do it somewhere less populated.

I agree with those who say the expansion is unimaginative - we would have more prosperity and more jobs if the area around heathrow was developed for residences, and business and arts businesses (the latter in particular are being priced out of London, but would benefit from being near to London). More planes will decimate a livable area, houses will lose value, people (more than the workers at Heathrow) will have to move, find new jobs - and if their houses lose value, they will be economically hit as well. STOP THE EXPANSION. If anyone has seen the poor villages closest to the airport - beautiful little places destroyed by noise and soulless development that all simply serves the transient life of the airport (and its stakeholders).
