Gas powered leaf blower’s are a serious issue in Desert Shores. In speaking with a large landscape company part of the problem is many residents have their lawns blown out weekly whereas monthly would be sufficient. I own a battery powered blower and it is very quiet compared to a gas blower. I don’t know if a total ban on all blowers would be necessary or even possible but I do know gas blowers create significant noise dust and pollution and many other detrimental issues so I’m signing the petition.

From 8am to 2pm life in spring valley is made miserable by ceaseless, mind rattling noise. It's inescapable.

I hope something is done soon! This is a real problem that needs to be addressed! My son stayed home from school sick and on the day he decided to sleep inn because he's sick! The leaf blowers blew everything into his bedroom window and woke him up and now he's up coughing! I'm so angry and frustrated! Sick and tired of nasty toxic leaf blowers!

These devices seemingly have no other purpose other than to make people look busy, and cause hearing and health damage to not only the persons using it, but everyone around them. Being both ineffective at their jobs, and detrimental to everyones health, they have no place in Las Vegas, or any other city.

Not only very loud, but tired of washing my car twice a day because of these leaf blowers guys in apartment complex. I literally waited until he went by my building then parked my car then he came back and blew dirt in my car right after I cleaned it, as if he did it on purpose. Get rid of them, we don't pay these guys to be too lazy to sweep. This is making everyone else's life more inconvenient to spend more time and money than necessary to clean car, and be woken up in the middle of the day. Not to mention, it blows all that dust and crap up to the second floor, I have to wipe and clean dirt and pollen off my door and window every time they come by. I dont pay money to live a more inconvenient life. I asked the guys several times to have common courtesy and complained many times to the office. If we can ban leaf blowers this will solve many issues for many people including myself.

The noise, noxious fumes and dust pollution are health hazards that could easily be eliminate with this ban on gas powered leaf blowers, with minimal impact on landscaping businesses.

I am frustrated that I am held hostage in my home every Friday morning for 1-2 hours while the gas blowers n users blow dirt into my yard and my pool from the church parking lot behind me. Then I have to go and clean debris in my yard and pool once they’ve left. We need to ban this ASAP.

Enough with the noise at 8AM! Enough with gasoline fumes! I live at Mirasol on Warm Springs. Twice a week, different days, at 8 am for 2 hours we are abused. Residents & pets have allergies and asthma. Our apartment is constantly filled with debris and dust. We can’t keep the windows open for fresh air. It’s unhealthy! Our cars, that we pay good MONEY to detail, are covered in dust twice a week. We have very few trees and very little grass. They are literally blowing dust and debris into our homes and expensive cars

My neighbor constantly uses there leaf blower every day for hours on end, very early in the morning when people are sleeping. It’s very ignorant, & it’s a nuisance to everyone in the neighborhood who’s woken up by an extremely loud leaf blower at 7-8am.
