With the Destiel shippers being notoriously active on social media sites such as Tumblr, the opinion of many fans is often overshadowed by them.
There are so many campaigns out there, petitioning writers, cast, and any involved parties to push Dean and Castiel into a relationship.
This petition is just to show that not all of us want that in a peaceful manner.
We will not threaten, boycott, or accuse other fans or those involved with the creation of the show to twist fanfiction into reality. This is not an attempt to sway the creative talents of the show we adore at all.
We would just like you to know that we exist, and hope to relieve some of the pressure that you may see on a daily basis. We support you, very much, and thank you for your hard work.

I personally find that the lack of focus on romantic relationships in Supernatural is one of its greatest strengths. Discarding that for the sake of fanservice would, in my book, be a terrible mistake.
Destiel would mean Sam, already neglected, would lose even more attention, and that is absolutely not acceptable. I don't think Dean and Castiel have a good interpersonal connection. I don't like the attitude that it's a golden romance that season 8 seemed to imply. I need the show to focus on Sam, not Dean and Cas.
I don't need pairings to be canon to enjoy exploring their potential within fandom. Furthermore, I DON'T see any sexual or romantic tension between Castiel and Dean as presented thus far. It's frustrating to me that social media has allowed vocal outliers in a fanbase to harass creators.
The show is about how familial love can be the most important kind of love and also how you can choose your own family and I feel like Castiel is a Winchester now and basically destiel would ruin the whole team free will dynamic i guess idk
It's not because I don't ship Destiel I don't want it to become canon, it's the fact that many of the shippers of said ship are very rude and pushy; if Destiel becomes canon would be like giving a very wonderful treat to a very disobedient child that doesn't deserve it at all.
Cad needs to be removed from show. Dean is not gay

I really don't want Destiel to become canon because the story IS NOT about them being in love. That time I checked it was about two brothers just trying to get by. Saving people, hunting things oh you know..the family business??
