Stop Blasphemy - Corpus Christi Play

The Corpus Christi play created by playwright Terrence McNally is currently being performed at the San Pedro Playhouse in San Antonio, TX. It is an affront to all Christians. I have personally seen the play and bear witness to the profane, blasphemous, and heretical dialogue and homoerotic behavior displayed throughout the infantile production by actors representing Christ, His mother, St. Joseph, St. John the Baptist, and the apostles. For a detailed critique of the play, please go to: catholicfaithinaction.blogspot.com
We, concerned Catholics of San Antonio, will do everything possible to end this direct attack on the divinity, the holy name and person of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, His mother, Blessed Mary, St. Joseph, and His chosen apostles. Are you aware that the city of San Antonio owns the property occupied by the San Pedro Playhouse and has provided over $1 million in taxpayer funds to the San Pedro playhouse and provides recurring grants of over $100,000 annually?
Please sign this petition addressed to the civil authorities of city of San Antonio, the Board of Trustees of the San Antonio Little Theatre, DBA San Pedro Playhouse, and corporate sponsors who support this playhouse. All public funding as well as corporate sponsorhips should be denied to the Playhouse and their operators.
In 2012 the San Pedro playhouse is planning to show other performances of dubious, morally offensive, and obscene content; works including "In the Next Room/The Vibrator Play" about orgasms and dildos and "The Little Dog That Laughed" about a homosexual actor who falls in love with a male prostitute.
First and foremost, please commit to prayer the end of this blasphemy and sacrilege and obscene performances in our city named after St. Anthony of Padua especially at a theatre funded by the residents of San Antonio.
Thank you and God bless your devotion to Christ and our faith.
/S/ Phil Sevilla,
Concerned Catholics of San Antonio
