The specialist CFS unit at Queens Hospital is currently under review and may close if we do not fight to save it. The service is currently not accepting new referrals or new patients for inpatient treatment before a final decision about the future of the service has been made. The decision will be made by 13th May. We need to act now to save this service which has helped so many CFS sufferers to get their health back. There are many people affected by CFS who are depending upon this unit to stay open so that they can get the specialist help they need. There are especially many severely affected sufferers for whom the inpatient unit at Queens is their best chance to get their lives back. Please add your name to this petition today and help us to keep the CFS unit at Queens Hospital open and forward it to everyone you know who might be willing to add their names too.

I have been spending my nights reading through your stories about the impact this unit has had on your lives. My own journey with this illness is what pushed me to start this, but seeing the depth of our collective struggle makes me even more determined to keep the doors open.

Seeing this kind of movement confirms that people finally understand how vital this unit is for those of us living with the realities of CFS. My own recovery started within these walls and seeing so many others step up to protect this space feels like the first real glimmer of hope we have had in months.

Watching this list grow reminds me why I fought so hard for my own treatment at Queens. We need to reach one hundred signatures before the final review happens so please send this link to anyone you know who understands the struggle of living with this condition.

It took years to get a diagnosis and now they want to close the unit?? This makes no sense.

This unit saved my life when nobody else knew what was wrong with me. You cannot take this away from people who are already suffering so much.

My sister has cfs and it is absolute hell. She needs this place. Stop cutting corners on healthcare!

Disgraceful. The hospital is meant to help sick people not shut down the only place that actually understands this illness.
