This is my first year with the charter school and for my son it has been an awesome experience. He is getting so much more from this then he ever did in public school. I will sign this petition because its the right thing to do. ☺

Please stop this initiative. Charter Schools are wonderful. There may be some that aren't, but please don't punish the ones out there that are wonderful and meeting the needs of 1000's of children and more.

Backed by the unions which want no competition or alternative programs to show them up. Charter schools give families options & choice; people all about control don't like that. Plain & simple. Education should be about the individual child's needs, not power hungry adults & bureaucrats' maneuvering.

The opposition to charter schools claims they will hurt public schools, when actually charters give the freedom to try better approaches on a smaller scale, see what works well, and transfer that knowledge to the rest of the public school sector. Competition has always been healthy and resulted in improvements in every other sphere!
