The entities that are "cutting out" proper representation is leaving disasters in their wake. I have been retro-assisting a couple, who opted for a discount brokerage that represents that they only charge a commission to the seller and the buyer "is on their own". Breach of agency is the most obvious issue for which the entity is guilty. Then we go into non-disclosure, etc. etc.
Buyers and sellers need some kind of representation: attorney, realtor, appraiser...something. Otherwise they are left flapping in the wind.

Lets put a stop to Zillow for doing nothing for us Realtors, and lets put a stop to NAR for the same thing - nothing for us Realtor and charging us to do nothing.

Ziklow has been providing inaccurate information on their zestimates for years. They are trying to have uneducated sellers sell their homes with direct offers without proper guidance. They need to be stopped.

Not the burbs here, rural foothill area of CA off I-80 on the way to Tahoe! Zillow took a photo of the roof of a barn style 8x10 SHED on an empty parcel of less than 2 acres & Zestimated the 2 bd 1 bath home @ around $279K. HUH? EXACTLY what I've been complaining about Zillow & Trulia for the past several years! About time to take them BOTH to COURT!

I reached out to the NAR President with an email regarding this subject over a week ago and have not heard a response. Silence is not good. Maybe they are getting some sort of extra incentive from Zillow we don't know about?...
