Windsor Beach is a deadly and dangerous body of water that has been proclaimed a beach. There is a few metres of sand and a footstep away is a water cliff that takes lives of too many beautiful people each month including that of my beloved uncle. This petition is to create bigger posters than the current tiny few present. There has to be some sort of change; netting in the water before the cliff begins, fencing, anything. We need your help to make this happen. We begged the police to do something about this but they simply shrugged it off and said “we can’t close a public place”. Help us to do the bare minimum and raise physical and verbal awareness about the dangers of this so called beach and to promote physical signage and fencing, with our help and support this is possible. Save your loved ones.

If you promote as a tourist attraction and safe place to swim then it needs to be monitored by lifeguards. The council should be held liable for the deaths this so called “ tourist attraction “ has caused.
I have been going here with my kids for years however the dangers of the drop off point are extremely real. Signage , netting and or closure of access to swimming.
I'm not signing this to close windsor Beach but I am signing this to get council to do more, such as more signs I've never seen any signs there however people tell me there is. On the signs maybe there could be a QR code to give people more information such as number of deaths, why it is so dangerous etc
I've lived in the Hawkesbury for over a decade now, and every single year we hear of at least 3-6 deaths in that part of the river. Hawkesbury Council have been extremely flippant about this issue and it's absolutely not good enough! Something needs to be done to prevent these regular deaths.

As a swimming teacher this area sounds very concerning and dangerous to the public. There definitely should be signage recommending people to be very careful in this area & be fully aware of the dangers. One person drowning there is one person too many. Tragic and so preventable.
