I bought an acre of ground here in 2024 and plan to build in the area. That commitment is hard to make with ground water being a concern for future development in Salome. The property I purchased is serviced currently by Cactus Water and I oppose HB 2758, allowing anyone to sell our groundwater to communities outside the McMullen Valley.

Quit selling water. It belongs to the people that live there. Quit letting the Saudi and any other non American use the water until there is no more. Quit being greedy money won’t replace the water.

Please reconsider the appropriation of the water from our Valley. The level that is allowable to draw the water to is beyond what most of the residents including myself can afford to drill new wells to. We will be forced to abandon our homes and property. Property values will drop drastically. You will be creating homeless destitute people and destroying our way of life. Many of us are too old to start over again.

We have three properties in Salome. We do not want to lose our investment to the suburbs of Phoenix. This is a beautiful area and needs to stay that way.

The high government officials need to do research on issues not just give their approval, listen to the people, what is their plan once the water disappears, I am sure they will also disappear from Arizona to a place with bountiful water. A kindergartener would know this is a stupid idea.

I am against HR 2758.. the bill allowing WAM to sell our water from McMullen Valley. If you want water… get a desalination plant started close to the gulf and pipe that water to the overgrown communities of Phoenix. No one told people to move to Phoenix… .

Another battle to be fought over water. Holly Irwin and Gary Saiter are a very formidable pair when it comes to protecting this community. Folks, please ask everyone and anyone to sign this. I pray that in the end, Jesus continues to protect this valley
