I live in Illinois and the residents are currently in discussion of halting the use Roundup and other toxic chemicals. I hope you win this battle.

Bridgeport resident for 10 years. Been buying and preparing primarily organic food for my family for 12 years in part due to Roundup concerns. I support the HOA’s use of alternative gardening practices that reduce the pesticide and accumulated chemical load in our families’ bodies. I recognize the importance of keeping the Bridgeport community beautiful in order to maintain and increase home values, and I recognize the need and desire to do so cost effectively. However, it is important to me that these two needs be met in a way that is also safe and healthy in the long-term. There are alternatives and there is precedent in other communities. Let’s be on the right side of this issue; let’s be forward-thinking. Thank you.

I am not a resident of Bridgeport but I live in a neighboring community. I love taking walks through Bridgeport and admiring all its natural beauty. Please discontinue the use of chemicals in the area. The people, plants and animals who frequent the area would greatly appreciate it.

I am a local Realtor, and I visit this area often with my children. The safety of the environment and the health and wellness of my family are top priorities for me. There are alternatives to the toxic chemicals currently being used by our hoas to maintain local landscaping.
