UTC you need to make your university accessible to your students. Without them you are nothing. It was one of my biggest frustrations going to school, late to class even after coming over an hour early to park... Because that's time well spent... Also I pay 2.50 a week to park at my job downtown, I don't think it's too much to ask that you meet them in the middle and help them help you.

You have to get to school before 8:30 to even get a decent spot. I shouldn't have to get to school at 8 when my class is at 12 just to find parking instead of getting some rest. Ridiculous. Yet their are multiple spots open everywhere in reserved lots.

I'm hesitant to even drive anywhere, as I'm worried I'll lose my spot.
I think the parking prices themselves are fair, but there isn't enough parking to go around by far, especially with the lot by Boling closed.

Although I have a car and drive, I get dropped off and picked up because I know I won't be able to find a spot! Don't sell more of a product than there is, even parking spaces.

I bought a reserved pass and couldn't park in my lot for the first two weeks of school. It was absolutely unacceptable, and happens to me every year.

I have a 3 hour break between classes and just stay at school so that I do not have to re-park. Parking is awful.

I purchased a 2015-2016 parking pass and then drove around for 50 minutes looking through every parking lot. I can be quite confident when I say there were no free spots available. I then returned my parking pass because I felt as though I had been sold a service I had not recieved. The icing on top was they could not return my money immediately and I had to wait 2 weeks to receive a check in the mail.

I know UTC parking oversells decals for lots. I have missed several classes for lack of parking. Besides that, sometimes I have to take out additional loans to afford parking. This is not acceptable.

This is about reform. I created this! This will go somewhere because with this petition I have a plethora of parents, employees, and students who are fed up with our school not making this a priority. I have thought of serval suggestions that could help and I know several student organizations that would be willing to help propose a formal plan with the help of the university. I think the university knows parking is a problem but would rather keep collecting money. Honestly if you don't see the point I'm sorry. I shouldn't have to RISK not making it to a class that's paid for because there are no parking spots.

Yes, there are PLENTY of open spots in RESERVED lots! General on the other hand is a completely different story, and since you know where all these "general" parking spaces are how about you meet with me and let me know because I would love to see these available spaces other than at 5 o'clock in the morning. You cannot say people are lazy because I walk from MLK to my destination building which is quite a ways to walk as I'm sure others park at the stadium parking lot and wait up to 30 minutes for the next bus to come which is very unreliable, I know this because I've been in this situation. If we are paying up to $400 a year to park at this school we should be able to park ANYWHERE on campus. This is why we are mad and this is why we are signing this petition, if you do not have any problems with the parking situation then why are you even putting your input in? Your 2-cents is not needed so unless you want to be positive about the situation in helping us please take your comments elsewhere... P.S. I really meant it for you to show me where these spots are in general parking lots, I'm sure the others would too! ;)

UTC parking passes are woefully overpriced. To add to that, it's basically a dogfight with the other students to find a parking spot so that I can try to get to class on time and get what I intended to spend my money on - an education.

What on earth is this even about? "Stop UTC Parking"? That's so ambiguous it's not even funny. Make an actual proposition for a change before you ask people to sign on and support it. This will go nowhere with UTC officials otherwise.

I have missed out on registering for important classes multiple times over the years due to unpaid parking tickets that I didn't even know I had, causing my graduation date to be delayed by two semesters and my student loan debt to increase by thousands of dollars. There are always plenty of vacant spots on campus, so I'm not really sure why the department exists in the first place (besides to extort more money out of already broke college students).

Parking is terrible in the morning hours when most people have classes. Not to mention the gravel lots aren't maintained and the bumpers as spot demarcation are in adequate.

I see general parking lots and reserved lots with empty spaces. You guys are all just too lazy to walk from one of the farther lots. Additionally, our rates and ticket rates went up to match us to other universities of comparable populations. We were underpaying for years. Take this to SGA with some legitimate concerns and you might actually see results. This isn't going to get you anywhere because you don't have any actual complaints other than "stop UTC parking" which is stupid. Stop being children and suck it up. College is expensive.

When someone blocked my car in on campus in a general lot and I couldn't leave to get to work I called UTC parking services, and they told me there was nothing they could do... REALLY?! But you have like 100 minions on hand to distribute parking tickets for minuscule violations? PRIORITIES, my friends.
