Stop using tax-payers' money on failed garden communities project

No more money to NEGC from the taxpayers of the local area.

Colchester and surrounding areas are growing far too fast already and without the required infrastructure. We are rapidly losing our countryside feel. It’s beginning to feel like being back in London.

I think it is obscene to spend scarce funding on councillors rejected vanity projects. The scheme has been rejected and is unwanted locally. Current infrastructure cannot support it.

Local infrastructure, doctors, hospitals, schools, transport, is struggling already - thousands more homes and cars will put services into crisis.

The coalition cannot commandeer full council meetings to insist they are at breaking point, while continuing to recklessly throw money at this damaging and deeply flawed scheme

No acceptable plan in place. Inadequate infrastructure and public services to cope with such large housing developments so no more tax payers money to be wasted on this ‘pie in the sky’ project.

Why is Colchester growing so vastly more than need? Destruction of the very thing we love about this area-the land

West Tey will have the most detrumental impact on all surrounding towns and villages. Services are already struggling with the capacity of residents, such as the Tolgate Practice (NHS GP) which has obscene waiting times and the train stations, which suffer the lack of space on train carriages, especially for commuters and the lack to car parking spaces. Imagine how much more traffic there will be. Just imagine the demands coming from 20,000 more households on our poor community. The effects of this horrendous possibility are unimaginable. Please realise the HUGELY damaging effects West Tey will have and address them by putting an end to the future of West Tey NOW.

No more money to NEGC Ltd. There has been a total destruction of Stanway which is totally gridlocked at weekends. Let's be honest there is much "garden" about this, just urban sprawl. Local people cannot afford the houses anyway.

The plans for West Tey are based on developer greed and counsellors ignorance and negligence. The roads, trains and hospital are full. There is no work near the proposed development. Utter madness that needs to be stopped. NOW!!

I don't want children growing up in an environment where there is no fresh air, no doctors appointments and no space. I moved to Marks Tey to avoid urban sprall, but at least the cities have the infrastructure which we clearly don't have here in Marks Tey. How many more people will be hurt on the A12 and the A120 before some overpaid businessman realises that it's not safe here as it stands. Add 24,000 houses and people's lives will be seriously at risk

More trains and better infrastructure first!

This is a disgrace. Why did the need a company initially and why are members of our local authorities , presumably receiving a salary from it. I bet they are.

No more houses in Colchester area, what about the wildlife being pushed out if habitats all the time.

We cannot move for traffic around these roads as it is! I can’t park at Marks Tey station to catch a train I have to drive to Kelvedon instead which takes more time than it should!! This is bonkers!!

Such a ridiculous idea. There simply isn’t the infrastructure in place to cope with this!!!

Colchester must not take the burden for Tendring or Braintree.
