You show a UPS truck.....maybe the problem is UPS. I watched a UPS driver dump 8 packages on the lawn in front of the mail room (when someone offered to hold the door for him, he declined.) Rather than delivering to the doors of the people in the complex he dumped and left, for any one to take. One hour later I still could not get thru to UPS to report it to a live person. Could be two things going here.

This has to stop! UPS should have the resources to make this issue non existent.. I have an extremely rare and expensive item in limbo now!!

Very frustrating! We have dealt with similar issues. And with the newest warehouse (2nd Amazon?) proposed on Rte 150, these issues are going to multiply. Need to make sure town is aware of all on-going issues. The Public Hearing for newest warehouse is 5/17. Encourage all to write letters and attend meeting. (Virtual or in person if allowed). Scannell who built original Amazon has since sold the building after promising a long term commitment to town.
Now a new Scannell warehouse (approx. 300,000 sq ft )on Rte 150 (Valente property)) is moving forward. Public Hearing is scheduled for Monday, May 17, 2021. It is important to send in questions and comments to be on record.

Remember to add as much detail as possible. Be sure to bring up any concerns you have with this project.
Concerns of residents close to project have concerns which include: additional traffic and increased accidents, uber traffic as GPS is incorrect, pedestrian safety due to no sidewalks, buffer zones, tractor trailers parked in Rte 9, sound walls for residential neighborhoods, etc.
Where are the tax benefits that were promised from this project? Who is monitoring issues?

Agreed, I feel bad for the UPS delivery men as I am thinking this is not their choice but the UPS system. It's not the lost package or untimeliness to me as much as the money and time wasted trying to figure out where the heck the order is. I'm ordering on line because of cost and Covid so this is ridiculous.

I ship things to people in Castleton all the time and am always baffled that my tracker says delivered and yet my friends have nothing in hand for days and days. The USPS isn't any better. They mark things as delivered so that their metrics stay good but it's another week before the packages arrive. Liars.

I had a package they said was delivered on 3/29 and dropped at the front door. I called the place I ordered from and they said there side says it was delivered to 1835 rt 9 which is Amazon

Many of our packages have gone “missing”, as well as many hours of trying to track them down after companies have reported them “delivered” and “signed for”.
