I grew up in the district, live in the district currently, and because of pay and health care differences I work as a teacher in SJUSD.

Pay our teacher what they are worth!!! My 2nd grade student loves her teacher! Show that same love and appreciation to all of our teachers by paying them fairly! We can't afford to lose our good teachers, especially the young ones!

I have a son with special needs and the teachers at his elementary school and middle school in the Union School District consistently went above and beyond to help him. Educators like this deserve to be compensated fairly for their hard work and dedication.

I am a teacher in Alum Rock School District. I thought we were underpaid. Seeing that Union is in a more affluent area...it surprised me to see that Union is not compensating their teachers fairly. This is wrong. This district will lose good teachers if the district continues to hold out.

Union Sch. District is a well respected district. Let' keep it that way. It starts from the ground up--hard working, dedicated teachers who enrich the lives of our
greatest asset--our children. Our
teachers deserve all they seek, plus more.

Providing free coverage for the board but charging outrageous amounts to the teachers is terrible. The board should be ashamed and fix the situation.

My 3 children truly benefited from the gifted teachers they had at Oster and Dartmouth in the Union School District. Pay what is fair and owed to these amazing educators!

Compensation should be commensurate with results. We have some of the best schools in the region. Our hard working teachers deserve better!

We want to keep our good teachers! Continuing to treat them unfairly will not end well for our neighborhood and schools.

As a teacher at Leigh in the feeder district CUHSD, and as a parent of children who attend Carlton, I am in full support of equitable wages and benefits for teachers, admin and board members. This area is very expensive to live in, and it is concerning to me that board members and admin are ok accepting full health coverage but not provide the same benefit to the teachers who are responsible for the district's high performance. If full health coverage is not going to be provided, teachers should be fairly compensated in their salaries.
