Shame on them! I'm usually so proud of our school district but the fact that they treat the District employees at the district office far better than they teach the teachers who are there working with our kids day in and day out is unacceptable.

You have some of the best teachers and test scores yet you pay less then other districts. Shame on you, you are going to lose your best teachers to other districts. This is your chance to show them your appreciation for thier hard work.

During my first interview with the district, the principal apologized for the pay scale. This was 16 years ago. I trusted the issue would be resolved. It was not. I have invested my entire career in this district and I care that we finally *really* address this issue once and for all. Since teachers do not have the luxury of representing their point of view with emails to the district's parents, we are at a disadvantage. Picketing, passing out flyers, and signing an online petition is how we are getting our message out. We want to be paid fair, comparable wages and health benefits, on par with similar districts. Why are teachers not being heard?

They are the reason our kids do so well that ranks our schools so high that makes our area such a coveted area for families to want to live in and there for our teachers deserve better pay, better insurance and much more.

It costs an insane amount of money to own a home in this neighborhood. There are no excuses to hear that the district may ruin the great schools that I pay for.
