There needs to be ONE co-ordinated website that shows all the closures on the day and following few days!

The Highways Agency is not fit for purpose. As someone who does a lot of night time miles, I've lost count of the times I've been misdirected, not informed of closures, been informed of lane closures that don't exist. Etc Etc. To call them incompetent is being kind.

I wasted 1.5 hours driving to Norwich causing undue distress til 2am in the morning. A47 The following fortnight cost another hour when the A17 was closed. Trucks were getting lost too. A total wasre of time and resources and the roads are still full of potholes. Miles of road do not need to be shut. What is wrong with a contra flow ?

At th very least, design clearer signage, bearing in mind that, at night, tired, disorientated and, often, anxious drivers need more than th current small, easily missed in th heat of th moment as you realise you're about to do a 30 mile cross country thru deserted country lanes, symbols, often cunningly half hidden in hedges or behind trees, really, you ought to go out and have a go, spend th day at work, then, without any preparation set off to an area be devilled by multiple criss crossing diversions, and see where you either end up or run out of fuel or th will to stay awake, all are quite possible.

It’s utter bolloks I only have a short hop between Solihull and wolverhampton but they block the motorway off without warning and block you in, then if you try to go through Birmingham there is either a football match massive crowd leaving or roadworks shutting other roads to block me basically takes 1 1/2 - 2 hours to make a 30min journey god knows how trucks or passers through the midlands cope, it’s completely rediculous

Driving Norwich to London got 10ish miles out of Norwich then diverted right back in due to A11 closed then spat out in some north west corner of the city with no signage ( oh and 3 points on my licence- thaaaaaanks ) had to stop at a petrol station further down the A11 who said they'd had 40 people lost in there and it had been going on all week due to A47 also being closed. 3hrs driving and was still in Norfolk. Highways Agency said they didn't even know the A11 had been shut. WTAF? 4hrs to do a 2hr journey, twice the petrol, 10 times the stress. What f*tard thinks this is OK to do to people?

Very poor coordination.

This happens way too regularly. Overnight diversion signs don't matter LESS they matter MORE as there's less visibility. Often diversions will put 2 hours on a journey which is already getting me home at 4am

100% the reason my blood pressure is high and hair is thinning, getting into or out of Manchester at the moment is harder than escaping Alcatraz* *no actual experience of this for comparison

I fully support this petition -roadworks are necessary but further coordination is needed to ensure travellers experience as little disruption as possible

If you work in the Jaguar Land rover engine factory after 9pm m54 east to Walsall and Birmingham closed. Puts miles on me and half hour on the trip, just what you need at 11pm. Also J11-10 M6 being messed about with (diversion) Cameras changed from 50 to 40 and the world got flashed in front of me. Slowed to 25 to ensure they missed me. Just as well as that grinded to a halt soon after

I have had it where I've been diverted then diverted then diverted again to the point where there is no actual road left to get home, screamed at the top of my lungs and had to sleep in a layby. It's disgusting
