I spent the afternoon walking along the creek and seeing the mud turned up again reminds me exactly why we started this fight. The silence from the department is frustrating but I am currently drafting a formal follow up to demand they finally take our concerns seriously.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like a weight lifting off my chest because I remember what our creek looked like before the mud took over. I truly believed we were fighting this alone until so many of you stepped up to protect the water we rely on.

property values are dropping because the creek is basically a sewer now. DEP needs to figure out a better way to dump their sludge.
Used to fish here with my dad all the time. Now it just looks like liquid mud. Bring back the clear water.
My kids used to play down by the bank but I wont let them near it now with all that silt and muck. totally ruined.
Fix the reservoir already. Stop dumping your garbage in our backyard.

I live almost next to the creek for 30yrs, it's horrible when water is released, like chocolate milk, erroding banks, nothing serene about it anymore
