At least tell us about these updates ahead of time so we can decide if we want them? Make them optional, like new OS? how is this supposed to help anyone? If you aren't making your users happy, then what is the point of your existence?

Tumblr staff doesn't care about their user base they just shit on us, they made it easier for an artist's comment to be removed, and fucked their role players over. They're obsessed with a ""minimalist"" look that just looks hideous and badly done. Tumblr staff needs to listen to their users from all the corners and not just one or two. Staff needs to learn that not only are there personal, art, or music blogs, but role play blogs, fandom blogs among others.

tumblr staff just need to stop like reall. I especially use tumblr on mobile and I hate it.

Even if I'm a mainly mobile roleplayer I gotta help out all the computer users out there.

I've had a tolerance to your updates this far, Tumblr. But this one has stepped over the line entirely. If you don't remove this update, then expect to lose a seriously large amount of users?

Please stop tumblr. We need ease of use. Not all of us have computers to run xkit to fix your screwups. Some of us only have tablets. Thank you.

Each Tumblr update recently has done nothing but inconvenience and annoy its users and this one is just overstepping it. Why. Just why, Tumblr? What was wrong with the way you could cut posts before? This 'fix' has absolutely ruined roleplaying for me, even with an extension installed to correct it (though it technically works, it's altered the format slightly and it's still sometimes going through as one massive block of post). I just feel so fed up with these updates now. Are you pleased with yourself, Tumblr staff? As far as I've always seen, nobody has ever reacted well to these updates. You could work on the inbox messaging system, or improve the blocking system, but instead you give us pointless dashboard changes, edits to the text post editor, unnecessary minor changes to colored fonts and now this? All I can say is WHY? I'm not the least bit pleased. I feel as though Tumblr really does not want us here any more. I have a personal blog, I'm an admin on three fandom blogs including a confessions blog, and have over ten roleplay blogs. I spend a great deal of time writing text posts and this ridiculous update has messed so much up for me. I may feel differently if it were the first time something like this has happened, but there have been countless other fixes before this one that absolutely NO ONE wants. Sorry for the long rant, but I'm seriously going to push for Tumblr to at least give those who want it -- especially the roleplay community -- the option to switch back to the old reblog method. Enough is enough, we didn't ask for this.

I understand why this update was made, because spread of misinformation is pretty bad on tumblr. HOWEVER, please instead consider offer options such as an ability to lock posts instead of just screwing everyone over all together. Because mile long posts really suck. Those of us writing in paragraph rps already have wall of words to deal with. Imagine a 160 note thread of pure back and forth rp, equaling to a wordcount of 50k+ words. Thats a novel people on my dash would have to scroll through every time I reply.

The changes made don't make this website easier to use, but harder and more confusing. What the hell is the use of a blogging website where you have to give a tutorial in coding to even use the site. And why are you telling people that the most important part of a post is the ability delete things!? Like seriously. Stop.

Don't fix what's not broken, staff.

Not only because I am a roleplayer, but because staff needs to learn to listen to the users, instead of only thinking about money. The money will come, if you respect your users. I do not feel respected or taken seriously by the staff. I do not feel appreciated. I do not feel like staff cares about us, as long as they can make money out of it. And I do not feel heard when voicing things that NEED fixing, because hey, let's just change small details and things that were working JUST FINE BEFORE. That's more fun than actually improving tumblr, right?

Stop, honestly. Now the RP community can't RP anymore because of this useless update. I used to be able to free myself from reality thanks to RP'ing, and now I can't even do that normally.

I don't want another inconvenience to the Roleplay community. This is enough.

badwolfgirlicouldkissyou is an RP blog and this update makes clipping posts on an RP thread extremly difficult. It would be better if you updated the ask system to be more like an e-mail chain. I would like a history of who I've sent asks to and the entire conversation visible. This update is rubbish.

This particular update is extremely inconvenient and stressful to many types of users for Tumblr. Many of the updates lately have been systematically making the experience more difficult and less enjoyable for multiple types of users. I am having a hard time understanding why the ability to cut posts being removed would be considered an improvement. Quite honestly I view it as a step backwards, not forwards. I would love to see some sort of forum where users can submit feedback for what we want improved in our tumblr experience. Right now the updates tend to be ones that are not well received, or enjoyed. Quite frankly it can and will drive people away from using tumblr to trying other formats. Please repeal this update, it is a great disservice to your user base.
