this update is BALLS and it tarnishes the overall blogging experience, not just with roleplaying??? but i also cut posts on my personal, when i'm talking to friends, so our conversation doesn't clog up the dashboard. i mean, let's be REASONABLE here. what even is the PURPOSE of making it so we can't cut posts????

I have been a roleplayer on tumblr for four years, and i am frankly pulling this as the last straw. This is the worst inconvenience ever laid upon me as a roleplayer. The usefulness of cutting posts previous was a necessity and still is a necessity for roleplayers just like me, and even a good deal of normal people on tumblr. Please, revert this update so that we can at least keep the feature of trimming and cutting our posts.

As a roleplayer, I frequently used the html editor to format my rp posts. I can't do that easily anymore. I NEED TO ALSO CUT POSTS. This is so people don't get upset by their dash clogging. Not only that, but the replies now look crap-awful.

Seriously guys. Those updates are only causing us stress and making our experience on tumblr less enjoyable.

Great job at "fixing" something that didn't need to be fixed. The previous updates were already hard to get used to but this is just complete and utter nonsense- the roleplaying community is a big one and we NEED to be able to trim our posts to make our dashboards a little bit more readable. Thanks for listening to your users, tumblr staff --"

Please stop with the updates, they aren't improving things, they're getting in the way of roleplayers who just want to have fun without having to figure their way around updates every few days. It's very difficult to get anything done, and you're leaving out a huge chunk of the tumblr users with these updates.

This will be the end of the roleplaying community if it isn't fixed, as Stitch said... If this is how you're going to treat us, you can say good-bye to us.

I'm not sure why the most recent update seemed like a good idea. It takes away something that a pretty big community needs. Roleplayers need to trim posts. There are so many of us and we need to trim posts. Not only that, but what about other parts of Tumblr? There are people who have long discussions or posts that are long for other reasons that'll eventually need to be able to trim.

This should just be for artwork and whatnot. If you want to keep a site running this is not how you do it. Say goodbye to your RP community tumblr if this is how you're going to treat us.

The newest update castrates the roleplaying community by making posts so much harder to trim, an important part for roleplayers so our threads aren't miles long. The staff needs to stop pulling things out of their ass and actually listen to their userbase

I'm tired of the Tumblr Staff telling us that they want us to have a good experience for us, then do stuff like this newest update. It's harming not only the Roleplaying side of the Tumblr Community. But the side that does not Roleplay. Continuesly doing something to where we can't reblog stuff, or the last update which seriously was just switching icons around, is getting on everyone's last nerves. Tumblr Staff, you're going to loose a lot of accounts on this site, because you keep doing useless things. Fix the messaging system. Fix the notes. Things like that. Because otherwise, you really are just going to loose a lot of people on this site.

please, staff, these changes are not needed in the slightest. everything was fine but now we can't even trim our posts? this is beyond ridiculous. this is an issue that needs to be addressed before users begin looking for new sites to join.

I just wish for the Tumblr staff to see this in hope that they can understand the mistake they made and reverse it, as this is certainly not a good or thoughtful update for many of us.

I hated the updates on Tumblr as soon as they started minimising everything. Tumblr is becoming more and more like Pinterest every day and I hate it. There are a lot of reasons I chose Tumblr over Pinterest or other social media sites, but now that Tumblr is starting to change so much and make everything more difficult to use and COMPLETELY ignoring the wants and needs of their users. Not to mention making the website less and less customisable! Hell, I used to be able to customise my Tumblr dash to look like the TARDIS and all sorts of cool thigns, but now with all these minimalistic changes I can't even customise my dash to look the way I'd like it to. I'm starting to think there may be better social media out there. With every update, I have seen thousands of notes on posts complaining about each and every change they make. There are thousands of Tumblr users crying out to the Tumblr staff to QUIT CHANGING THINGS. I think I speak for all of us when I say we liked things better before the changes began.

How the heck am I supposed to trim my posts now? This makes it impossible to keep my dashboard tidy.
Stop with the updates please, you are making Tumblr difficult to navigate and cumbersome to adjust to.

I am an indie role player and have been since 2011, and writing is my way of getting passed my anxiety and depression. These updates are making things harder than they need to be
