Also, it seems that a parallel discussion to this is the speed and traffic concerns on Livingston. I would propose changing the street from College to James from 4 lanes to 2 lanes with a center turn lane. This will greatly improve the safety and flow.

affordable housing is a racket...all it does is keep those in poverty dependent on government. The recipients spend more time and effort trying to qualify and remain qualified, than trying to better their situation. The developers get guaranteed income from Section 8. I am not in favor of this wasteful program anywhere, let alone on Livingston Ave.

I believe Bexley should offer affordable housing options. Livingston is too dangerous with speeders; adding density would not improve safety issues on this street. Let’s find a safer location for this—Main at Parkview? Parkview at Caroline? Affordable housing shouldn’t be relegated to the most dangerous street in Bexley.

If there are truly invested interests by Bexley officials, then it is unethical for them to engage this builder. It would also explain the lack of transparency with the community.

We just bought a place on Roosevelt and moved from a rental on Francis ten houses in from Livington. I have NOT been paying attention, but I looked at the drawings tonight. This will really add traffic at that intersection. While it had nothing to do with the proposal, I'm glad we moved.

This should never been allowed to proceed past the zoning board. They are breaking the rules allowing this project but when it comes to a person's home on Columbia they won't bend a rule for that. Ridiculous! What's the point of having zoning to enforce rules?

I am in favor of establishing housing for low to moderate income families in Bexley, but site is not large enough to accommodate development. Either a smaller unit or put it someplace other than this spot. the planned

What disappoints me the most is the fact that the proponents of this project (Bexley leadership) are willing and eager to push this thru at a levels dictated entirely by the builder. I was on a zoom conference with the builder who specifically admitted that they would not consider a two story building at Francis and Livingston because "it would not be profitable enough for their investors". He said it was all or nothing. So, apparently, our community leaders are OK with this builder's profit levels being more important than all of the safety concerns, parking issues, aesthetic concerns, neighborhood dissention, etc. I find it very interesting that out of the blue Bexley wanted to go full in on "affordable housing" (and lets be honest and call this project what it really is which is subsidized housing ) However, nothing was ever done to identify how much affordable housing Bexley already had and/or how much more would be advisable ? This particular project appears to be fraught with conflict of interest between Counsel/CIC and the Builder, and was railroaded thru from the beginning. Time for that onion to get peeled? I personally find the disregard for a lack of true community "say so" to be disgusting.

I support this petition and its concerns.
Personally my main concern is safety for all individuals ,specifically the traffic on Livingston Ave.
Although I support the need for affordable housing.

As it is now the plan is Not good for our neighborhood
