Stop the "We don't serve your kind here" bill in Tennessee

The law of unintended consequences applies: Sen. Kelsey's goals SOUND fine, on the surface, but their unintended consequences will once again make Tennessee a laughing stock.

This bill is a dishonor to our state. Hard to believe that this sort of blatant bigotry still exists in 2014. Shameful!

This is the most archaic thing I have heard about in the US in many years. Please pull this bill immediately!

It is outlandish that people still think this way.

This is a direct violation of many peoples constitutional right. Our government is for EVERYONE regardless of religion or sexual orientation.

I am appalled that this bill has been put forth. Such ignorance makes me embarrassed to be a Tennessean. Did we learn nothing from the Civil Rights era?

It is time for Tennessee and fellow Tennesseans to band together and say the days of hatred, bigotry, and contempt for others while hiding behind the feeble guise of religious freedom and hypersensitivity are over.

I grew up in Tennessee but now live in New Orleans. I am straight but I'm a strong human rights advocate and this bill makes me cringe.

Tennessee's legislators need to stop being the poster children for hatred and stupidity in America. It's time to throw them out.

I want to know exactly which businesses are asking for this legislation? I vote in elections and I vote with my dollars.

I don't live in TN at this time but, I am from there and this bill does not represent many of the people I know and love in TN. This is insane!!

This bill reminds me of what Nazis did in WWII.

Please don't set Tennessee back!
