Typical of the Southern Mentality. No wonder why Southerners are looked down upon.

As a mother of two gay children I find this abhorrent. It is so vile and discriminatory and it makes me sad that anyone work even consider such a thing.

This is This height of intolerance and hatefulness. Things like this make me understand why so much of the rest of the world can't stand Americans, and makes me embarassed to be one!

From Mos Eisley to Montgomery, this language is just infuriating. Hate is not a Christian Value. AT ALL!!!

It's sad for me to say I live in Tennessee when the state proposes nonsense like this.

get out of the dark and see the light! use your religion to help others and influence for good instead of making them have so much contempt and hate in their hearts toward you. it is disgusting that this is an issue at all. shame on you for even putting this on the table. stop wasting our tax dollars on ignorance and do something to truly help our people and beautiful state.

I really wish the legislators of our state would quit embarrassing us on a national level with ridiculous ploys that take us back to the 1950's and get to more important governance like job creation, education improvement and equality for all.

This is disgusting behavior from our Government Rep. I would like to think that we have more pressing issue to deal with other than Homosexuality! Our country is falling apart at the waste sides of these idiots in office. This country is made up of so many different cultures and we want to pick out one group and ban them from living. What do you think would happen Rep. Bill Dunn and Senator Brian Kelsey? Do you think that by banning people from stores and restaurants that you can change people? Why is it that you see the rest of the country moving forward but the damn South has to take 4 steps backwards? Do you think that Homosexuals do not have religious beliefs? Do you think that Homosexuals pray to a different God than you? Our leaders in the South just make the South look bad and do nothing to help the stereo types that people have in mind of us already. I am very disappointed in everyone who has voted for this bill!

Seriously....have we really stepped this far back in time. I would like to know, gentleman, if your child "came out" as being a homosexual, how would you feel knowing they have to face such adversity. The bible says "Do not judge, lest ye be judged". "Let those without sin cast the first stone". All I can say is "shame on you".

You cannot find a better friend than someone that is gay. Would you like to know why? Because they know what it like to be ostracized, criticized and degraded for trying to be themselves. How they were born. In fact, you will find that gays (as a whole, or at least the ones in which I've met) are some of the sweetest & kindest people you will ever meet. THEY DO NOT JUDGE. They love...unconditionally. Your bigoted viewpoints, fear & ignorance over your outdated "book" is disgusting and ANYONE that thinks this way - internally, externally, subconsciously or outwardly should be ashamed of themselves...and I believe in your religious world, God loves everyone and there is a place called hell for being a judgmental sexually oriented bigot.
