Stop the "We don't serve your kind here" bill in Tennessee

Giving us in the South a worse image. Ridiculous.

Let this pass, and expect the economy of Tennessee and particulary Nashville take a hit

Sad to say I grew up in Tennessee. When did "religion" allow so much bigotry?

This "Hate-Full" Discrimination should be stopped right here…Now, I've heard it all, religious right, you don't have a religious right to make such "Judgement's !!!!!

I do not agree with this bill at all. I find this stuff to be repulsive. I have friends and family that are gay and I love them the same. But as a business they do have to the right to not serve anyone at anytime. This is not a civil rights issue. Lots of people wanna make it that and it isn't. I do think this bill should have never been proposed and those senators are idiots, But if it is against their beliefs then there is nothing you can do about it. In no way should anyone push their beliefs on anyone else. I am not a fan of religion but I understand that it is a large basis for the founding of our nation. There are plenty of other businesses that would welcome these people. If you really wanna hurt the businesses that do this then just don't shop there or use their services.

Anything that fosters hate is definately NOT religious.

This bill is about denying civil rights to the LGBT community! There is nothing more un-American than denying a citizen equal protection and civil rights!

How does thinking like this still exist in 2014?

Tennessee back to the Dark Ages, what is the matter with the quality of legislators in this state? Since when is Tennessee or any American state a theocracy? I thought the state was supposed to support us all no matter what our creed or beliefs. This proposed bill is clearly discriminatory

For the sake of all that is right and decent, start treating one another with kindness and acceptance! Some day you will be judged the way you have judged others and then you will be sorry. The world is watching you act like bigots! Heal your own hearts before you turn your hate onto others.

We are equal in the eyes of Jesus. I try to live as he would want me to. Gay people are equal , they can go where I can and do what I do and they are welcome.

Your children will be as ashamed of you as we are of our great-grandparents. This is unacceptable, whatever your religious beliefs.

Why don't you guys try to stop things that really matter like stopping abortion. Gay people are not hurting us. We should love everyone despite the sin. All sin is an abomination to God, not the sins people pick and choose. Wrong on so many levels.

It's your state. You can pass whatever laws you feel are appropriate. We've always enjoyed vacationing at Dollywood, and in Memphis, and in Gatlinburg. I'm afraid if you pass this law, we won't feel welcome in your state. We are not gay or lesbian. But we have dear family embers who are. We have friends who are. So, out of respect for them, we'll pass on visiting Tennessee. I'm so sorry you felt the need to introduce this hate legislation.
