We’re in a Drought! This is positively a disgusting, selfish and repulsive developmental idea! This development will be using our public water supply in a drought riddled area that’s already really Siphon water to the La Quinta residents! And if we go over our allotment there is a surcharge we have to pay! I don’t how this development got the brainy idea to build an exclusive, private water park to add an additional strain on our water needs and who will be eventually footing the Bill of this water strain; the “La Quinta residents”, who aren’t allowed to put their Big Toe in this private Park! We will have an increase charge to our water assessments & on our water use to foot this water demand! This idea better get scraped or we need to FIRE the Mayor!

Please, we just purchased what we thought would be our dream retirement home. To have something like this built less than 1/2 mile away, is so heart breaking after we worked and sacrificed, so much to get this house.

I don’t understand how this would attract surfers to our area, surfers go to the beaches we have.

Don’t ruin our tranquility and peace & quiet with this monstrosity. In addition to destroying wildlife and wildlife habitat.
If I had wanted to live by a theme park with the noise, the traffic, the hoodlums would have bought by one

Too much noise and traffic. They need to put it somewhere else.

Not good for the valley, and apparently, it's very exclusive and not much open to those who don't own orient there.

I am against the Coral Mtn. wave Park. Short term rental property attracts an entirely different neighbor than the original residential/golf, and brings in far more traffic. I suspect that of the developer is successful in getting LQ to change the zoning, it will be like the “camels nose in the tent”! ( e.g. Future expansions to the original numbers will be easily accommodated. )

We don’t need an amusement venue in an area used by cyclists, hikers and others who enjoy this unique and peaceful location to live in or visit.

The profligate use of water in the Desert that will be necessary to sustain this Wave Park for the benefit of a small exclusive group of people who will have access to it, is only the most shocking one of the many good reasons why I am signing this petition.

This Meriwether Developement Wave-Park is Unacceptable, Unsustainable and Unconditionally Unsafe for the Corral Mountains Environment. The La Quinta Zoning Commission is way out of line for considering any real estate development proposal past, present or future that tragically disrupts what the “ Gem of Desert “ is supposed to represent. A forthcoming sad day for all La Quinta residents if the La Quinta City Council Members vote this residential zoning change request as approved. I am in for opposing it ! Keep what GOD gave us , intact and secure for generations to come. Like the Meriwether Group states on their home page ... the mission is to enhance the experiential result. Is that not what has already been delivered to the Coachella Valley with the Corral Mountains presently ...without change As Is-Where Is.
