Are we going to destroy all of our surrounding beauty in the name of a dollar?

No place for a water park.!!! If it has to be in the desert how about closer to the 10. Plenty of open space across the freeway.

There is a drought; City council has been being very foolish in not stopping this proposal at get go.
Area should be used as originally zoned. People moved here based on it being a residential neighborhood!

Moved here from OC to get away from traffic and congestion, this project will undoubtedly create a similar scenario in La Quinta.

It is irresponsible to be building wave parks as we are in a drought. How many water parks does Coachella need? None, but certainly not 4. While farmers need water for our food, you think it makes sense to build a bunch of wave pools. The state needs to step in.

This is the wrong time and place for this development. When our local utilities are asking us to conserve power and water how can our local government approve this wasteful project? La Quinta sees dollar signs but who in their right mind will come to the desert to surf the 140+ days of temperatures above 100 when you can go to a nice cool beach? This could very well end up being another white elephant like the old Wet āNā Wild water park in Palm Springs that opened in 1986 and was closed for many years. Do we really want another white elephant in The Gem of the Desert?

We are in a drought and I don't believe this will get any better in the coming years. The amount of water needed for this project is obscene under these drought conditions. We don't need any more golf courses either. Do you remember a few years ago when we were having to catch extra shower water and not flush the toilet very often. Water and electricity are in short supply here in the desert. We don't need development that uses so much water and electricity.

Water! We don't have much left. The state has declared us to conserve water. Is the City that irresponsible? Earthquakes! We have 2 major faults Andreas n Jacinto running West to East through the valley along with smaller faults that are across the valley floor. The facility might be alright in an earthquake but the water won't be. Once water is in motion it can't be stopped. Stop this Wave Park! Now!

Contrived, wasteful, disgraceful.
