This streetcar will tie up traffic in the downtown area too. Construction will make the commute to downtown chaotic as well as repositioning of traffic before construction and after construction. Are the streets going to be widened downtown along the route?

Wasteful project. Do not take away lanes for traffic. Do not fall into the trap of another boondoggle. Send trolleys or buses on wheels along the route if there is demand, do not dig up and rail the streets.

If MOO wants streetcars, MOO should pay for every related expenses and not one penny of it should fall on the backs of Omaha taxpayers. This is a pure vanity project at a time when people are struggling just to survive in this ridulously high tax city and state. Stop trying to turn Omaha into Chicago and do something about the horrible roads and high crime rate!

Expand the Metro bus system to go far west, north, and south. The streetcar will not help those areas who need the transportation more than downtown needs a small area that easily gets metro transit.

We do Not Need a Street car to go a few Blocks Fix the Roads with that money!! Roads are full of Potholes. Fix them so we don't go though is every winter. Your letting west Omaha go to hell, as you pump money in down town and north Omaha, And tax the hell out of us, we can't even afford to fix our homes as the Taxes are so high . NO STREET CAR IT WILL BE FREE RIDE FOR CRIME .

The Omaha taxpayers will get saddled with paying for this “new shiny object” so that Mutual of Omaha can get maximum dollars out of their existing property.
