Waste of money for absolutely no benefit. Money would be better spent on roads, bridges, parks etc! We already have a mass transit system.

I do not support spending taxpayer monies on a streetcar project that lacks details such as the costs of logistics support ... where are the turntables located to do maintenance, etc.
This project only benefits the UNMC, Midtown, Old Market and CWS patrons and not the other 90% of Omaha (and surrounding communities) who will NEVER use that system.
Taxpayers are already paying for the costs of two public transit systems that operate 80% of the time with no ridership.
I recommend the two existing bus systems be abolished and replaced with a fleet of Mobie style vehicles that can be ordered/scheduled by users tailored to actual user times and locations. Such a wheeled vehicle 'hybrid' fleet could be expanded to cover increased ridership demands during the CWS and events at the CHI Health Center, Baxter Arena, River Front etc. without destroying existing streets, and the cost savings to taxpayers could be used to (GOD FORBID) lower taxes and/or repair our pot-hole infested streets.
Such a project would be a greater and more long lasting legacy than a WOAK streetcar system that will only be used by 10% of the taxpayers who want to pretend that Omaha is cosmopolitan city.

This is a horrible spending of our taxpayers money. The city buses aren't even being utilized to there full capacity potential. No need for this in our city.

I do not support the streetcar. You have taxed us enough. Your platform for voting you in as mayor was to stop the restaurant tax which you didn’t do so obviously you do not keep your word. Mutual didn’t either so you should not have torn the library down or given them the land

The funds should be used for more pressing things like our homeless population and working citizens that are struggling to feed their family and pay their rent/bills.

Our funds should be used on much more important things such as our interstate roads through the city that have numerous potholes and infrastructure issues on bridges/overpasses, as well as our city roads with potholes and many lights turned off. OPPD should stay on top of this and if not the city should make sure our streets are lit. It's a problem in many areas. Our city also has a large homeless population that could be helped with those funds to eat and get shelter.
