I am so glad someone at the grassroots level started this petition. While a street car is a cool touristy thing, I believe the money needed to purchase and maintain such a monstrosity could be used more intelligently! A few practical ideas: redesign our current transit system, use a different substance to mend potholes that lasts beyond one year, and/or lower our taxes! Thanks for considering!

This is wasteful spending at its worst. The technology was abandoned years ago because it was obsolete and too expensive to maintain. To bring it back and tout it as forward thinking and cutting edge is ludicrous. We have veterans living on our streets. To spend money on this boondoggle is perverse.
