I've said that it's not needed in Omaha since the first conversations about a Street car. We'd be better off spending money to improve the current bus system, by adding routes, reducing the cost of tickets, etc. At least if a bus route isn't working they can change the route. A Street car would cost millions to make that kind of changes.

This is the biggest WASTE of money this city has ever spent! Just after expanding / spending a fortune for ORBT, which I can't see what that added to the already 15-min bus service up and down Dodge St. It did nothing to assist the rest of the city's (North/South) transportation need. Then to learn this is a lifestyle enhancement? So MANY citizens are just trying to get to their jobs, medical appts., grocery trips, etc. Oh, Omaha ... we're going backwards when compared to doing better for the greater good.

This is very wasteful. Unless you plan on getting rid of the now transit system. There is absolutely no reason for street cars !!!!!!!

There are so many other things our wonderful mayor could be using that enormous amount of money on. Why don't they use that money for more important things like fixing our terrible roads and taking better care of our first responders.
