Multiple children, parents, & staff come in and out of classrooms. There is no way for the teacher to know the medical conditions of each and every one. EOs could interact with one of these unsuspecting people's meds or conditions. This is unsafe!

in a world where we are careful with peanut butter sandwiches so we don't endanger kids with peanut allergies, letting school officials or teachers explore kids to something with the potential to cause serious reactions is terribly careless.

advocate safe EO use! teachers are required by law to have a doctors note to allow children take medicine at school. EO'S are medicine and should be treated as such.

While I think e.os are wonderful they should not be used in the classroom. There are too many people who are learning unsafe things about e.os.

Medications are NOT allowed in schools without a note from the doctor. Why would a potent form of herbs be allowed to be used without the parents knowing?!? I can not send in homeopathics with my child to take during the day why are teachers allowed to medicate my child? Essential oils are potent medications that are misused 95% of the time because they are sold to the lay person who goes to a "party" instead of being educated by an aromatherapist.

You must be aware of the ages that use can use essential oils. And if they are not.your children you shouldn't be diffusing anyway as you do not.know their health concerns.

there are to many kids and adults that are sensitive to essential oils. sensitive to the point of hospitalization. Stop using essential oils in the schools now!!!!

Essential oils are not the same as Fragrance oils and should not be used to scent the room.

Do not diffuse! You never know if a child I will have a bad reaction to ANY EO!

I feel the key here is EDUCATION. Those who have researched and use eo's know how offen they are being misused. Diffusing in the classroom is a major safety issue. Educate, Educate.

Even if i didn't have a child with a medical condition this would still concern me a great deal! i wouldn't allow a teacher to give my child medication or other medical treatment without consulting me and this is not really different.

I sell essential oils, I have a child with health conditions and a child without. I use them in the home but not around my child without proper research. Nor would I allow a teacher to do so. I would file a lawsuit. plain and simple. EOs are powerful substances that can make one sick or worse.
