GO you! As a qualified Aromatherapist, I support this 100%! Its horrific and out of control how essential oils are being used, to the point that it has become substance abuse. Thanks to the MLM'S

No one has a right to use essential oils around others without their permission. If you're using it medicinally for any reason, you're essentially medicating everyone around you when you spray/diffuse around others. No different than smoking in public or wearing heavy fragrance. It affects others, and just because it's "natural" doesn't mean it's always safe.

There ARE risks from pure organic essential oils. Please, do YOUR research! A hapten is a small, reactive molecule that, when combined with a skin protein, can cause the formation of antibodies and lead to an allergic reaction. This means that certain essential oils are capable of eliciting a true allergic response, even though they do not contain polypeptides and/or proteins themselves. http://bodymindmend.com/possible-allergic-essential-oils/ Even pure organic things can cause allergies - think of people with pollen allergies, or seasonal allergies. Peanut allergies! Wild mushrooms can cause death and they are "pure and organic".

REALLY!? Ever heard of seasonal allergies i.e. (Natural pollens ) causing allergic reactions? Essential oils are derived from " natural" compounds and can definitely cause allergic and anaphylactic reactions . If they work for the individual , that's fine by all means do it ,but don't force this on our kids without consent. YOU ARE NOT A PHARMACIST!

Not true EO's are not the same as Fragrance oils. People please do your research. Does anyone know why one of the very first senses you develop in vitro is the sense of smell? Because your sense of smell works with the limbic system within the brain. It plays a major role in controlling mood, memory, and behavior. Your sense of smell also alerts you of danger. Also, plants and herbs have been around thousands of years for healing purposes. Why else are the plants and flowers here? All of you should fear the chemicals that the school used to clean the school. Someone should make a petition to have plant based products that are natural in schools. That is what the focus should be. Not the use of essential oils in school but the cleaning chemicals they are exposed to every day.

All I can say is do your research. The pure organic essential oils from reputable companies are safe and have no additives. The risk one takes in using essential oils is not knowing what brands are safe and how to use them. Remember people that God gave us all we need here on earth. The plants are natures way of helping us. Think about the chemicals the schools use to clean the rooms. Which would you rather have? Pure plant based cleaners or chemically engineered chemicals? Many researchers and test studies has shown that essential oils are safe. As long as safety precautions are set in place and children are not putting oils on their body I don't see why this is an issue.
