Even though my child is in year 11 and is leaving the plume, I felt I had to sign your petition. Uniform is expensive without being told where and what style to buy. Most of us send our children in to school neat and in appropriate uniform so why punish all for the sake of a few.

It's so in neccesary they say they have seen some progress with uniform but not a lot well I'm sorry your always going to have them people who don't obey by the rules. Not only that the skirts are hideous.

The basics of children going to school to be educated seems to be second to how one appears at this school now. Not sure how someone who has been at this school so little time has managed to upset so many parents in such a short time. Was his last post a prison warden I wonder ? This is not a prison camp it is a school.

I think that we shouldn't have to have the grey skirts we are being given in September. STOP grey skirts please.

That's not fair on parents who are already struggling for money.

I think they should not only leave the uniform colours as they are at the moment but also give 'Yours in Sport'High St. Maldon a chance to stock and supply uniform for the local school.

I personally dislike uniforms in school, however ignoring my own stand on any issue. No breach of DFE guidlines should be allowed to continue. Certainly not on such a low turnout for consultation. This should have been mass communicated with full consultation with all parents concerned. Bad move plume, bad costly unnecessary and needless.

I'm signing this petition more for my 2 children who don't want to change uniform. My eldest goes into yr 11 in September and is adamant that she will look elsewhere for 6th form the following year due to this change. From a personal point of view it's an additional cost I could do without. But if I'm honest something needs to change as by the time the students leave in the afternoon the majority are a complete mess! I can't comment on how they arrive at school as I don't see them in the mornings. It definitely needs standardising and Grey would look a lot smarter than the Black with Navy blazers.

I currently pay no where near £12 for a single pair of school trousers and never have...equally, never intend to when boys ruin them so quickly.

I have to agree with this petition as having asked my two. boys if they had any say in the uniform change, the reply was NO. One even said it is disgusting blue and grey.
If this is actually aimed at a select few students then supply them with the correct uniform with the proviso of exclusion if not adhered to. Not force 2000ish pupils and parents into an expensive change.
