Train whistles, particularly when used at night, are a serious problem in Okotoks, causing sleep disruption for many people living along the rail corridors. This has been a major issue in my home since moving to Okotoks in 2014. My daughter and I wake up at night everytime the train approaches and comes through town, sometimes up to 4 times a night. Our quality of life and health has declined significantly because of this.
To the Town of Okotoks,
This is a petition expressing interest for whistling cessation along a railway corridor in Okotoks and immediate outskirts.
We ask that you consult with the railway company that operates the relevant line of railway to assess the feasibility of the whistling cessation request and work towards a solution.

Completely agree, makes my kids cry. And some are much worse than others!
