Smith Voc is the way too go. Ctec offers nothing for the vocational education!!

People should not be able to tell other people what they should or shouldn’t do with their life! Every student should be able to choose what shop to go into if they get excepted into SVAHS.

Our son dearly wants to go to Smith Voc and we think it is a good option for him. I believe that Easthampton students should be able to attend and choose from a variety of programs, and high school freshman rarely know what they want as 14 year olds! C-tech should NOT be the only option,

This is unfair that our children should be forced to go to a tech school they don't want to go to (ctech) and not have the help and needs they deserve just because the superintendent chooses how my child should be educated her way instead of my child's needs.

For a parent who was told by the superintendent herself that it was cheaper to send my daughter to C Tech instead of Smith is a good example on money is more important than a child's education.
She ripped my daughter away from Smith's vocational with 3 months to the end of the school year. They would not allow her to stay the last 3 months and start a new school with a brand New scool Year. My daughter was gonna do animal science but the teacher's fault because of her disability it would be unsafe for her to do so which meant she had to go to the next option. One week on 1 week off learning is exactly what she needed to keep consistency and help her grow. Because graphic design was offered at c-tech Her IEP went out the window and everything had to get rearranged and changed. All because it's cheaper.
Out of all my previous children in EastHampton schools I have never seen a superintendent like this one and for a school committee like this. They'd all should be very ashamed of themselves and put the children 1st. I pay enough taxes As a homeowner and still the town would not hear my concerns about my daughter.
And also what this town did to the football field And what they are offering or exactly not offering back to equal what what all the youth programs have lost all because of money And poor planning is absolutely insane. The town has broken way too many promises and Created way too many lies.
It's about time we all stand up. You have mine and my entire family support on this petition.

I agree that SVAHS trade weeks are the better program for earning a solid trade. On another note you can’t have it both ways - people
demanded a new school because the “ environment “ was a detriment to learning .
Now we say new facilities don’t matter or
should not matter and kids should go
wherever they want ….. I agree but your logic is
in my opinion flawed . As many of us said the buildings were fine or still useable . Be careful what you wish for , you might just get it.

Residents pay enough tax to be able to have a choice in our childrens education , As a Community you should open doors not closed them to our children’s education.

Smith Vocational is far superior to C-Tec. As a tax payer and voter I fully endorse access to Smith Voc for all Easthampton students for all shops.

Totally ridiculous, kids living in Easthampton should have free will in deciding their future to attend Smith vocational High School to learn a trade and not have to spend thousands and thousands of dollars attending a college!!!!

Once a student is accepted to Smith they should be able to choose any shop they are interested in. The goal of the school is to help students with their future. Let them choose what they want so they have a better chance for the future.
