Funny, I don't recall being notified that this landfill site was popping up.

This refuse site should be closed down until the proper authorities force site management to stop the STINK then I could open my house doors and windows and enjoy sitting in the garden. Having to endure lockdown and covid is bad enough but this makes it like a double whammy

Thought we had a gas leak. Very strong smell of methane inside the house. Happens regularly.

We live in East Carlton which is ~4 miles away from this site and the sickening smell is very noticeable if the wind is coming from that direction. It must be unbearable for those living nearby. This surely cannot be allowed to continue and must be closed with remedial costs recovered from the company responsible.

Living in Osbourne Close Oakley Vale, the smell reaches our home and inhibits our enjoyment of our garden.
Regularly passing Rushton or the A43, the smell can be so bad to almost make me vomit.

Today the stench in awful here in Little Stanion, the other side of Corby. The Council say its not their responsibility and the Environmental Agency didn't seem too bothered.

Whilst there may be no immediate health implications a clean living environment should be a given.
The landfill at Weldon has no such issues do it would seem to me that the Mick George site is simply not being run properly and the issue has been going on so long now it’s obvious they have no interest in dealing with it unless legally forced to do so.
Should be stopped from accepting any more waste until the site is properly prepared and capable of dealing with the fumes and gases .

Action to prevent this horrendous smell is long overdue by the authorities empowered to act. No one seems to care about the residents in the vicinity who have to contend with it permanently.

Strong smell of buring tar outside our Danesholme house last night.
It would not be allowed to happen anywhere else!!
