The township needs to find a substantially less expensive option for this. Plus the facility's location would not be centrally located in the township and would be next to a high-traffic road.

Why pay for this by taxes only on twp property owners?? Everyone living in twp should be part, including renters and those working in twp that would benefit. A high number of property owners are the elderly on fix income that can not afford an additional increase on an property tax that is already at the top in York county.

I certainly think the Tri Hill facility should be upgraded but also certainly do not agree with building a huge complex that isn't needed and shouldn't be paid for by taxes. A majority of the residents are not in favor of this!

I'm aware that there was discussion about building a complex near Mt. Rose Ave. a few years ago, but I haven't heard anything recently thinking that the interchange update put a halt to the townships plans. With rising school taxes we do not need excessive township taxes. I live and work in the township. There are other cost saving ways to improve the police building and public works department. Any commissioner that thinks this is a great idea is only looking to have his or her name on the bronze plaque inside the new complex to inflate an already inflated ego.

For something like this proposed facility that is expected to raise our taxes so dramatically, I would expect there to be options presented to the public and multiple opportunities for the residents to comment. Given the small size of our community, something this big should probably go to a referendum.

Other buildings can be repurposed at lower cost, and the Dye Works property can be sold, with profits to offset rehab costs.
