We are in Perth, Western Australia and we face the same chemical assault because our state and local government authorities are spraying all our public open spaces with pesticides. We even have aerial spraying in urban areas for control of mosquitoes. We are told that all of this spraying is necessary and safe but no one has undertaken a comparative risk assessment to prove that the pesticides do not pose a greater risk of Pesticide Illness (with flu-like symptoms) cancers, neurological diseases and birth defects to our communities. Numerous independent scientific and medical reports are being ignored by our authorities. There is under reporting of pesticide related illness and no laboratories in Australia are set up to test human samples for trace levels of the commonly used pesticides. Meanwhile our Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, has ignored our "Call for a Royal Commission into the Use of Pesticides and Harm to Public Health" and signed another trade deal to allow more cheap pesticides into our country. We have a global pollution problem that is largely fueled by a toxic pesticide industry supported by our heads of government' against the public interest. This must stop! Please see the Change.org petition: "Prime Minister Turnbull Stop Toxic Trade Deals" and visit facebook Pesticide Action Group WA. Wishing you best of luck in stopping this global scourge on communities.

We have autoimmune and allergy issues and spraying makes then very difficult to manage our health. We do not want this.

please stop poisoning us. If more people were educated about the dangers, I think you would find low informed consent rates. Please listen to those of us that have looked into these topics and don't want it in our lives. Its impossible to undo it once it's done...

Spraying for Zika is ineffective. Most of the msoquitoes dwell indoors. People shoudl wear repellant and not keep standing water around. Further, sprayig kills beenficial insects and the predators (liek dragonflies) that kill mosquitoes). Duh! You're just spraying to inflate your vector control budget at our expense-it's not to protect the public. I'ts to "protect" your budget. Shame on you poison profiteers. The Vecotr Control Head shoudl resign (or be forced to). Look into his records, and see who he's giving these ocntracts to. Look for kickbacks. This person is probably in on some sort of scheme. Not kidding. Turn up the heat on this guy. It'll expose some self-serving ulterior motive. .

Please stop the spraying, it is unnecessary. See the following Washington Post article, closes so far to prove that the Zika scare is an exageration: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/the_americas/scientists-are-bewildered-by-zikas-path-across-latin-america/2016/10/25/5e3a992c-9614-11e6-9cae-2a3574e296a6_story.html

Please stop this spraying right now! I am deathly allergic to toxic sprays and I know that many other people have the same problem that I have! This spraying will do far more damage to people like me than these sprays will ever prevent people from getting the Zika virus ... especially since I have yet to hear of a single Zika carrying mosquito being found in San Diego, or for that matter, even in California! Stop this spraying now, please!!!

Sometimes government's "solution" to a problem causes more problems down the road... the alternative solutions suggested here make a lot more sense. Stop spraying insecticides everywhere!
