There may be a place for mega solar transmitting projects (Desert?), but not in an area that will harm wildlife, kill rare vegetation, stunt historic preservation and bring horrible hazards to aviation!

No solar farm needs to be in beautiful western Rowan county. Especially an area filled with families, animals, churches, schools and parks. This is a residential area not an industrial area. Please have some empathy for this community.

I OPPOSE the Solar Farm. My Family dont want it behind our home. Go somewhere else. Leave our Community Alone!

I believe that the local ecology will be greatly damaged. I'm concerned about toxic waste from weather damaged panels. I think no matter what is planted around this site, it will still be an eye sore and property values will be impacted.

I am opposed to this location. This land is surrounded by neighborhoods. Also very concerned for wildlife and streams on this land

As NC becomes more urbanized each year and deforested with lack of planning and foresight this is the wrong step for Rowan County. There are hundreds of acres of fields available without impacting vast acres of forests. Why would anyone think it is a good choice to cut down trees for solar energy when there are existing open spaces available. There is a multitude of turkeys deer now quail and foxes that depend on that area.

This would negatively impact the wildlife and drastically change the ecosystem of this area. Please do not pass this.

Please do not allow them to do this to our property. No one is taking the surrounding properties into consideration.

We don’t want it! Please don’t put it here. Find an area that is not forest.

I vote No. It is beautiful land with wildlife and there are many homes that would be impacted. HOWEVER, depending on how this land is zoned (or could be re-zoned in the future), the owners could possibly eventually put something even worse on the property. Anyone owning that much land that is already looking at solar farms is going to look at other avenues of revenue/chances to sell as well. Just good for thought.

When solar farms cause species within a habitat to leave, they also remove the valuable ecosystem services that they provide to the habitat. It becomes less livable for plants and wildlife that have adapted to its specific conditions.

This would be detrimental to the neighborhoods in this area and the families that live there.

Do not let that come in. It will bring home values down. Then after how ever many years they sign after they leave the land in a mess.

Totally against this proposal. Too many unknowns.

We vote no. All the trees which are good for our environment will be wiped out. What kind of emissions will solar farm give off? No.
