Since my first visit, Siargao has already been changed a lot. Please, keep the good vibes alive. Save the island, save the ocean. Stop IATA. Dghan nman gae tourists ddto, dagdagan pagyd. Sayang kaayo ag ka nice sa island, ma same nana kadugayan sa other spots in the PH na ruin. I may not be from Siargao, but every time I visit this island, people treat you like family as long as you respect them and the island itself. They just know how to keep the contagious nature of positive vibes. Smile triggers smile. Laughter brings more laughter. “Marajaw Karajaw”

Glad to see so many comments and signatures on here! Hopefully there's a chance to save the natural beauty of Siargao. Rather than the island and locals being exploited by the few, mostly for financial benefits... Lets not let Siargao get spoilt too easily!

I have been coming to Siargao since 2009 because of its unique island vibe, to put an international airport on this beautiful island would be to destroy it’s integrity for why travelers and tourists come here in the first place.
One of the best things about visiting the island is the journey of getting there, and that’s traveling the way the Siargao locals travel - by boat. As locals of Cagayan de Oro, we travel 6-8 hours by bus, van, then boat and we love every minute of it. PRESERVE the island by EDUCATING and not necessarily endorsing it more. Respect Siargao!

Not even the tourists will find professional aid if they were injured. Think about the locals, give them medical support.
