There are many things that need improving before an airport is built. An airport may look like an improvement on the outside, help the island seem like a growing economy or industry but there are many things like health, sanitation, the environment that must come before tourism and profit.

We should be pro people and pro environment. Pls have some respect to us, the locals, who in the first place, will be the direct recipient of all the negative impacts that will be brought about by the huge services offered within Siargao.
The making of Int'l Airport in Siargao should never be a priority. I hate how these politicians mentality disturbed the sleeping and calm Siargao. That Int'l Airport will be bringing thousands of people who will then generate millions of tons of wastes and what happens to these waste? It resides and dump elsewhere in Siargao. Do we have effective solid waste management here on the island? There's none!
Pls to whoever is the culprit of bringing the idea of this int'l airport, I hope you feel what the local and people of Siargao is crying for. Salamat!
