I am one of those who frown thinking I need to cross a river, endure a long bus and boat travel, brave the habal-habal ride just to get to Siargao. You may think the news of having an international airport that will bring me directly to this beautiful island will makes me happy but it's not. I still prefer crossing rivers, riding buses,boats and habal-habal than be a culprit in slowly killing this piece of heaven on earth. The destination is amazing but our journey getting there is more memorable!

Currently living in Camiguin island, and somehow the same thing is happening to my home. Tourism is slowly killing nature. We see it everyday. More roads are concrete now, natural attractions become tourist spots with loads of trash (and entrance fee
