Responsible tourism comes with facilities that first and foremost benefit the community in Siargao. Learn from past experiences in other tourist hot spots and protect the nature and pristine atmosphere on the island!

I love Siargao. This is the place where I got engaged. I don't want it to be destroyed and will be exclusive to the rich and the powerful. I want the island to be laid back and affordable as it is. I love Siargao and I hope this plan will not be approved.

stop the over crowding and spoiling of such a beautiful and pure place. Invest the money on proper healthcare facilities, waste management units and the people of Siargao first. Don't make this little gem of the Phillipines become the next Boracay, stop the international airport construction plans!

As a millennial, I visited Siargao for almost 5x. The nature were so beautiful, the people were so amazing and beautiful too. I don't agree with the Airport thingy, instead they should prioritize the life of the people living in Siargao. For me, it is important to have a proper education and a public health care for all!

I lived in Siargao for a while and I witnessed the beauty of the island and its people.
I also saw the urgency of the island's needs: proper waste management (not just a dumpsite), more streetlights, proper healthcare facilities, and better opportunities for the locals and those who want to build their lives there.
An international airport on the island is not an urgent concern; a sudden and exponential influx of tourists is not sustainable and will be detrimental to Siargao.
We have to ride the waves of development with balance. Save Siargao -- yes to addressing its immediate needs, no to an international airport!
