"Every act of creation is first and act of destruction." I am a civil engineering student and i've been living in that saying for 5 years now. I do admire the government's "build build build" project BUT PLEASE SPARE SIARGAO, PALAWAN, MALAPASCUA AND ALL THE OTHER NATURAL PARADISE HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES!!! Real tourists will admire natural sceneries than luxurious resorts and hotels, TBH!!!

Take care of the island, don't let tourism and development destroy its natural beauty. Make sure locals are properly compensated, have medical facilities, typhoon- proof houses and education before the world's wealthy take over.

Part of the charm of the island is it's remoteness...it attracts people from all over and will continue to do so with or without the international airport. A better use of the money would be to modernise the existing hospital.
