The dress code is sexist and carried out in an even more sexist way. It really needs to stop. Don't sign the petition more than once though, or tell other people to as well; it makes the number of signatures unreliable and insignificant, and that's not what we're aiming for.

I agree..... the dresscode is against girls. Guys can wear ripped jeans so why can't we, the dress code basically says girls are a distraction for the boys education but what about us. What about us...I feel I'm being look at for approval from the adults at the school and shouldn't are style of clothing be a way for everyone to express their self.

Dresscode is a waste of time. Also it shows that the officals of the school think lowly of the people that go to deal by inforcing the dresscode they think that boys that go to deal will rape or harass girls and that the girls will just stand there and take it and we don't have the intelligents to to something. And clothes is not a protection no matter what you wear it will never protect us from these situations and we have brains and we use them for the good while you think we use them for bad and to abuse others. This is sorta like the science fiction story that we read in English the Harrison Bergeron story, you think that covering up who we are and forcing us to wear what they want will change the world and make everything better, well it won't cause you can't change people by their clothing and you can't always protect us and fingertip length shorts and leggings aren't going to change that either so stop the sexist dresscode and have a little faith in your students!!

The dress code is sexist, but mainly the way they enforce it. I've seen girls get dress coded for no reason and like 5 boys just walk by sagging their ripped jeans, which is against dress code. I've only seen 1 boy dress coded before.

True. We shouldn't be labeled as "distractions" to boys. That's their problem, not ours. Also saying this is extremely sexist.

I feel very strong about this topic. Alice deal has a very strong dress code which addresses mostly girls. We can't even wear leggings or a shirt that slitly shows our undergarments. This is very sad and needs to end.

It just makes no sense- it's so stupid! Why are leggings not appropriate? And why don't we get to be the judge of that? What about 1.5" straps? Why are those immodest, and why do the teachers decide that instead of us? We are the ones picking clothes we feel express us. No one is getting turned on by an extra half inch of shoulder.
