Dress code is discrimination towards girls and the way we act. You think we like being judged by our body's and for that being raped. I know dress code is to "keep us safe" but do you really think that wearing fingertip length clothing is going to change that. Think again we should wear what we want to wear and woman would never put themselves in a unsafe situation so if a person personally wants to wear fingertip shirts and shorts then go ahead but I don't so I won't and you can ask anybody I break dress code everyday

It just makes no sense- it's so stupid! Why are leggings not appropriate? And why don't we get to be the judge of that? What about 1.5" straps? Why are those immodest, and why do the teachers decide that instead of us? We are the ones picking clothes we feel express us. No one is getting turned on by an extra half inch of shoulder. And to the people who think the dress code is soley so that we lool presentable and businesslike, then they contradict themselves everyday by letting us wear sweatpants. How does telling us what we can and cannot wear, making those choices for us, teach us responsibility and prepare us for the 'real world' which adults like to remind us every day that we aren't yet a part of? Whether or not people like to admit it, the dress code unnecessarily both targets and (therefore) objectifies girls. It needs to stop.

I completely agree. My shoulders showing is not unappropriate or unsafe. my knees showing are not sexy of unsafe. What the dress code is saying to girls is that women are distractions to men. Instead of teaching girls to wear "appropriate" clothing why don't we teach everyone else not to rape and sexualize people.

Yeah, Annie. I noticed that too. Still, we should be allowed to wear tank tops and leggings and shorts and ripped jeans

I totally agree with this. We have waited way too long. My body isn't distracting, or something to cover up. Stop objectifying me.
Exactly!
