I have never been dress coded but that is because it is aimed mostly at girls. it is useless and sexist and should be taken out

I agree with NOT having the Deal dress code the way it is now. I believe if we can modify it so it's not has strict then it would be ok.

I agree that dressing professionally and in the role of a student is a necessity. However, the dress code is simply too hard to follow, and it is similar to a law found in a third-world country.

I agree. Also, the people who tell us the dress code is to look professional are just lying and they know it. Can they explain how sweatpants are professional? We're allowed to wear those!

Deal argues that the dress code is there to keep the school environment professional, because in the real world, you will have to conform to dress codes. I think that this reasoning is completely invalid though because we will have plenty of time to get used to dress codes, and we should just be allowed to be kids while we still are. Also, there is the issue that the enforcement is awful; it is completely biased and based on both the teacher and student. Students on some teams get dress coded with every minor violation, while others can get away with anything. Also, it is not uncommon to see guys sagging at school and not get dress coded for it, when girls get called out all the time for wearing thin straps, which I just see as pointless and idiotic. DOWN WITH THE DRESS CODE.

Thank you all for signing this! This will change everything for the countless girls that are caused unnecessary stress and annoyance trying to pick out an outfit so that they won't be forced to wear a disgusting, sweaty, smelly, maroon and yellow gym uniform so that everyone can know their humiliation. Girls are people, not 'distractions'. We live in a world where feminism is changing the patriarchy, and imposing a dress code on girls implies that boys are turned on by legs, knees, bra straps, and shoulders. This is ridiculous. Girls should be able to wear whatever they want. Don't let the perverts drag you down.

Why should girls have to pay for boys looking at them. This literally is saying we care about men more then women and I thought we solved these equality problems ages ago!
