Stop The Sale of School Public Property to Developer and Another Monstrosity in Glendale!

The planning commission voted 4-1 against the development and it’s still moving forward? The City Council says it cares about Glendale and it’s quality of life issues, yet fails to address concerns about the ever increasing traffic congestion, noise levels, and air pollution residents are dealing with. And the GUSD says the building swap is best “for our kids,” yet they’re leaving the students in the same sad building they’re in now (and will be in during the entirety of the construction as well)! Once again, for the city, it seems it’s all about the money. Google Carmel Partners to find out what kind of development company they are.

Integrity needs to be described and defined for (almost all )of our City Council. I really don't know how they can look themselves in the mirror each morning. Cronyism to the hilt.

Don't we have enough Mega Housing Projects already? And how will these continue to affect the rising traffic problem?

We do not need another ugly tall building in Glendale. We already have more than enough ugly, expensive and unneeded new buildings. I used to love Glendale now it's full of ugly building, too much traffic and rude people. Stop destroying the City and the Enviroment. Enough is enough.

I hope the petition makes the powers that be reconsider this outrageous proposal to undermine our neighborhoods by converting them into urban blight.

The petition succinctly outlines all the reasons why we have to stop this egregious over-development!

Massive developments are out of control in Glendale. Why is City Council allowing these to continue?

Overdevelopment in Glendale is over the top. Who is benefitting? The "Jewel City" becomes more tarnished with every monster project. Enough!

I urge the City of Glendale and GUSD to stop the sale of GUSD's 3 acre public property to the Private Developer Carmel Partners which has aggressive development plans!

It is clear that the residents of Glendale are opposed to the further development of multilevel, density increasing residential properties for the reasons noted in this petition. Please listen and reconsider this sale which is not in our best interests.
