Allowing the sale of Confederate flags at an event to honor Levi Coffin makes the Lion's Club and it's members look illiterate and foolish!

The display of this flag is counter to everything Coffin stood for

Having the Confederate flag during Levi Coffin Days is dishonoring the history which Fountain City is supposedly celebrating.

This flag is not a pretty souvenir. It is a symbol of support for slavery.

Formerly of Bloomington Friends Meeting, I am currently a member of Cowichan Valley Friends Meeting on Vancouver Island, on the unceded territory of the Quw'utsun' peoples.
I am shocked that the Confederate Flag is sold during the Levi Coffin Festival. It shows how short have fallen in educating about the Civil War, the Abolitionist movement, and white supremacy/Jim Crow. Jesus!

This should not have to be a petition. It should have been dealt more long before this.

This goes beyond racism, you are selling historical artifacts. I grew up in Fountain City. There is nothing in that town of historical significance except Levi Coffin House and everything connected to it.

It is so wrong that a festival named for Levi Coffin should allow a vendor to sell Confederate Flags!

I am signing this petition as presiding clerk for Oxford Friends Meeting in Oxford, Ohio. We are in unity that the display of this segregationist flag dishonors the memory of Levi and Catherine Coffin.
Totally out of keeping with the values and actions of the Coffins.

How dare anyone sell the symbol of white supremacy at the home of a leading abolitionist. Absurd and hurtful! P. Schenck, Annapolis Friends Meeting.

As a Quaker Minister and one who stands against hate, I do not believe the confederate flag has any place at a festival honoring a Levi Coffin - one who stood up for antiracist and the freedom of slaves in our country.
