As a Quaker and a student of Levi and Catherine Coffin, I am stunned to hear this. We need to remove the Confederate flag from this festival!

I can’t believe that the Levi Coffin site is being used to sell Confederate flags. It is a enormous insult to Quakers and every person who knows the history of slavery that the Confederacy fought to continue. The sale of the Confederate Flags is a HUGE effort to celebrate the horrible legacy of slavery in the US. I am outraged by this RACIST effort to perpetuate White Supremacy! Enough already. Stop this appalling effort NOW!

Levi would be horrified at anything Confederate-related being associated with an event in his family's memory.
Don't address this by changing the name of the festival, address it by not selling racist emblems.

The Confederate flag is a symbol of division, racism and unpatriotic. I am appalled that it was sold "for fun" at the fair in Fountain City!

The Confederate flag is a symbol of racist hatred. There is no place for it at the Levi Coffin Festival.

"The longer I lived in the south, the more convinced I became that Slavery was wrong and needed abolished" -- Levi Coffin.
The confederate flag should not be sold or flown at any event in his honor.

Thank you for your support, Lions Club, and I look forward to seeing your leadership in taking this call to action and removing all Confederate flags from Levi Coffin Days.
