so not only did they not get approval to make the movie, they casted someone of the Spanish decent who has only been on the seen for about 3 years possibly to play a very strong independent black woman seriously that's some bull. don't get me wrong this has nothing to do with zendaya personally I just don't think that is fair. Aaliyah's family had no say so once so ever in this movie or the casting rolls or anything. how do we even know any of this stuff that's going to be said is true? personally I feel like this is some bull and I really don't want to see the movie because we don't know if we're being fed lies and it's just really disrespectful to Aaliyah as well as her family. then they go an cast someone of the Spanish heritage to play a black person I will never in life be able to understand this, now I understand that they say that people of the Spanish heritage have a very similar past towards African/African Americans and all that but similarities are just that similar it's not the same not to sound racist or anything because that's really not what its about .Her life should be played by someone who has been chosen by those who knew her best. Even if they decided to still role w, her then at least we know she was A PERFECT FIT.

I want them to make a movie for the great Aaliyah, but they need to find someone better looking. The girl they have does not cut it. At least have her get a nose job and a major tan. Lastly, if Aaliyah's family and close friends were not involved then it should not go forth unless they have all control. My opinion and thoughts on this situation. I love you Aaliyah and you are missed dearly. One thing you did show the world was that you do not have tk bleach your skin and go blonde to make it in the industry. You were true to yourself. Which in today's society is rare. I miss you Baby Girl.

This movie should be stopped her family has to approve and be on board they movie wont be great because you need family that closet to you to help tell your story and i beleive aaliyah was way bigger then a lifetime movie she sould be in theaters and the casting should be better zendeya is not a good candidate to play aaliyah
